The Friendship Centre has been working in the community for many years is a showcase of collaboration and
partnership. They will showcase the development of a response plan to the issue of Housing in the region. The
Friendship Centre has been doing great work in Labrador for many years. It is an organization which illustrates the
importance of reaching out to the community and working with many organizations to meet the needs of the
people it serves. There are many lessons to be learned from their great success! |

SmartLabrador's hybrid network brought videoconference services and Internet access to Labrador communities.
In recent years Smart Labradorʼs work has focussed on web technologies. Doug has authored "MyWebMaker", a
content management system for easy website maintenance (which SmartLabrador provides to clients), and the
"CHE Resource Manager" -- a collaborative tool for building and maintaining a digital collection of heritage-related
information.
Doug will speak about SmartLabrador's currrent work and share some thoughts about using online communication
and collaboration tools.
