Justice For Women
About the Project
There are continuing concerns with the access to the justice system of survivors of family violence in Labrador. There are significant delays in the court process, constant difficulties in receiving appropriate services such as housing, and there are challenges with respect to the Northern climate and geography. Community advocates, service providers, and government representatives, through the support and initiative of the Violence Prevention Labrador (VPL) have come together to identify approaches that will result in meaningful change.
